Our people:

The Institute of Forming Manufacturing and Equipment has 29 faculty members, consisting of 16 professors, 10 associate professors, 2 lecturers and 1 laboratory assistant. Among them, there are 9 doctoral supervisors, 24 master’s supervisors, 1 academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, 2 chief scientists of the National Key Basic Research Project of China (973 grant), 1 Scholar of the Recruitment Program for Innovative Talents, 2 Yangtze River Scholars (Distinguished Professor), 1 Fu-Rong Scholars, and 4 winners of the New Century Excellent Talents for University (NCET).

Situation of Discipline construction:

Material forming and controlling engineering is the main major of the Institute of Forming Manufacturing and Equipment, which holds the right to confer doctor’s degree and master’s degree. There have been 100+ PhD postgraduates and 600+ MPhil students cultivated here, and two national/ministerial laboratories and one innovation center known as the State Key Laboratory of High Performance Complex Manufacturing, the Aluminum Alloy Rheology Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of Education and Nonferrous Metal Oriented Advanced Structural Materials and Manufacturing Cooperative Innovation Center are built here.
